Maybe low range is now engaged with the new shifter, rather than a button? Can't make out that lit symbol between "D" and "N". |

That symbol is just 'P' for park lit up to show park is engaged.

They have gone for the park as a button like the x5, would like an auto hand brake option like the x5 I really like that.
