It will outrun a Gallardo to 185mph and go on to a top speed of 205mph. I used a B5 Touring (5 series version, one of 4 RHD cars made) as my business transport and it was superb. My wife used to call it a "thug in a suit"! Oh and take the engine specs with a pinch of salt. Alpina have to be careful not to upset BMW and usurp the M6 so they underrate engine power by 10% in all their publicity. I went to their factory, saw the engine on the dyno and witnessed the results.

For what it's worth guys

I went from RRS S/C to a new BMW 335d the power and balance of the car blow me away not to mention the MPG! But after only 6 months the hard ride, build quality and the blandness inside the car along with the lack of toys got to me so I sold it!

I now have the new shape Audi A8 4.2 TDI Quattro with the new 8 speed box 0 to 60 in 5.5 top speed of 155mpg all the toys keyless etc... etc better than TDV6 mpg all round lovely car! Not had a problem with it in my 6 months of ownership faultless car! Air suspension means it can be driven in comfort or sports mode

Not had a Merc so can’t comment on them?

All said & done I'm heading back to another RRS in under a year of last owning one!! Cheers Laurence.
