I didnt say the car has been out in the flesh - i said the spec has, its been on the website for ages, dealers have had it longer. We looked at an evoke again and was offered info on it.

2014 Facelift Discovery

we got the dealer printed spec when we bought ours,,as we know it covers the main bullet points but its the small details that i'm interested in
not too long to wait now,,should be delivered to dealer first thing tomorrow,ready for pick up by me in the afternoon
it should've been delivered to the dealer on tuesday so i hope there's no alternative reason for its lateness,ie damaged/repaired,,,,,,just my last minute jitters eh 2013.5 rrs black edition in white here now

I'd be very surprised if its ready in the afternoon if they are delivering it to the dealer in the morning. Good luck and enjoy your new motor and try and get some sleep tonight...

Thought LR had it in embargo until 3rd jan, mind you I went in on 30 December and ordered it on the same day. Mine will be ready mid Feb but I'm waiting until March 1 to drive it away 2013 13.5 MY HSE BLACK with privacy glass, vision assist pack, side steps and ebony headlining

expected rta at dealers 9-9.30
they should give me a call when its arrived(i live 2 hours from dealer and dont want a wasted journey)
they reckon the pdi takes 2 hours,plus an extra hour to valet
they told me to arrive at dealers around 2pm,,so i'll see them at 1
hopefully back home before dark

ive never heard of a changeover being so quick, every new car ive bought has been at least 3-5 days after arriving at the dealers. a Valet its self will take 4-5 hours as they have to strip the protective wax off it

well,,i'm not long home from the 100 mile drive from the dealers picking up my black
first impressions are very good ,it has a good stance with the style 7 wheels,,it has black edging around the sidevents and front grill,and is black inside the front and rear lights,i wouldn't like to see it without the privacy glass though
it has normal twin exhausts,not the square tipped versions
inside is very good also,we have the black interior which has perforated seats with full memory,the seats have electric side bolsters which hold you in well,,the doors have chrome effect edging and chrome handles
you can set the driving position perfectly which i was unable to do with the q7
the entertainment system is far better than my old tdv8,naturally ,,and you can store 10 cd's in the memory,,there are points to plug in your ipod or mp3,,the dual view digital tv has an excellent picture,even when driving,,so i'm told
oh,,there is now heated seats in the rear too
the dynamic pack which is now standard is excellent and really changes the way the car performs,,in the short drive i had with it on anyway
my initial worries were that it would need colour coded sills and sidesteps,but with the dark wheels i think it actually suits the car as is
overall,,,its an excellent buy irrespective of the price you pay,and the way you feel when in a range rover is priceless,as we all know,,,any questions i'll do my best to answer and i'll get the pics up tomorrow when light 2013.5 rrs black edition in white here now

Glad you had a good safe journey home, the features you have mentioned your vehicle has got is really no different to mine, other than the dark wheels, mine is a MY12, but i had to pay extra for the dual view tv, all the other features are standard, but i'm sure you have got other bits on it that you havn't noticed yet. I think yours has got remote park heating as standard and black roof lining as standard too. Enjoy your new motor and we will look forward to the pics when you've stopped playing.

i must drive it like an old granny,it says mpg of 36.2 and average speed of 64mph,,the drive home is mostly motorway and cruise was set to 75
i'm delighted with that as the same journey in the q7 was averaging 26.8
claimed figures for q7 was 38.2 average against 32.1 average claimed for the rrs,,how do manufacturers get away with such a discrepency
incidentally,the mini cooper we bought in 08 only got a shade over 30mpg,which was one of the reasons we sold that for the ffrr,,the tdv8 averaged 26odd mpg for the four and a half years we had that
