hi, just bought a 2005 supercharger and there is a vicious wobble under acceleration..... its ok on cornering but scary when accelerating.....is this normal or is it something obviously wrong..... i have come from a C63 AMG and porsche 911 so not used to any wobbles....... any comments welcome thanks

I'd get the alignment checked, just in case your two rears are facing different directions and its causing tension in the rear suspension under hard acceleration? RRS gone

Check the simple things first....tyre pressures, wear, nuts tight and then alignment - before you look at more expensive issues. Mike

no not ice and heavy foot..... back end wobbles bad to the point you come off accelerator as its almost uncontrollable.... i taking it to the garage tomorrow to get it checked but busted wondered if it was the norm or not??!

Once you've checked the simple stuff as already mentioned then you're probably looking at a shot bush somewhere which is allowing one wheel to move when loaded under acceleration.

Alternatively there might be a wheel speed sensor playing up which is making the system think it's got wheelspin on one wheel and the DSC is grabbing a brake to control it. I think ride height sensor issues have been noted as causing the same thing. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Could be something as basic as a bush, wheel bearing or rear tie rod end. Have you checked the wheel nuts just to be on the safe side incase one or two have worked they way loose at all.
