I want to keep food such as meat fresh, so I guess a fridge is what is required.

I use a waeco coolfreeze cf35. It's a mains/12volt cooler or freezer, depending how cold you set it. It's silent, sits in the boot area and works brilliantly as a freezer in outside temp. of to 40 deg. I did have a dometic combicool, but the compessor fitted inside it usede to rattle and clang going over bumps in the road. I have got a land rover cooler box but considering it's size, it is very limited as to what you can get in it, plus the fan is noisy.

The LR one is more of a portable cooler bag as mse says.

I'm only talking 2-4days for long weekend trips, BBQ/Fry-up type food. Just looked at the LR cooler bag, looks too small and low tech in comparison to what I had in mind. I'll look into the Waeco type ![]() 2007 Exige S British GT SE Gone : 2011 3.0TDV6 HSE, Stornoway Grey, Ivory, Piano Black Trim, Paddleshift, Privacy Glass, Side Steps, Mud Flaps, Heated Steering Wheel, Timed Climate & Remote Park Heating ![]() |

Will do thanks ![]() I also need to consider how much drain they will have on the battery if the car is stationary for several days whilst its plugged in ![]() 2007 Exige S British GT SE Gone : 2011 3.0TDV6 HSE, Stornoway Grey, Ivory, Piano Black Trim, Paddleshift, Privacy Glass, Side Steps, Mud Flaps, Heated Steering Wheel, Timed Climate & Remote Park Heating ![]() |

Yes, no point having lovely cold food if you can't drive the bloody car home |

Any fridge capable of keeping meat fresh for 2-4 days without running the engine will drain the battery to a point where the car won't start.

As per the above - expedition type units are the type rather than a brand...Ive had Waeco and it was a good unit - equally Engel. ARB also do one eg: http://www.lrsshop.co.uk/category/catalogu...es/fridges which my friend has in the back of his 110 24/7

I use an engel MT45 which is a great fridge. Can also be used as a freezer.
