Monty - this screams sunroof drainage issue, but it could also be water getting in around the GPS aerial? Is it loose? Has it been sprayed with a pressure washer?

Ive had another quick look and cannot see any blockages in the sunroof by pouring water into the channels..

Sounds very much like sunroof drain pipes...the best bet is not to pour water down them, its likely to not work - you need to fire some compressed air down up (probably) or down them

Rather than a compressor, some of that 'netting curtain' wire is excellent for gently pushing down the drain tubes to clear them out. Bodsys Brake Bible

Don't forget there are drain tubes that go to the rear of the car also. Be careful pushing wire or using high pressure as there is a 90° elbow in the tubes in the A pillars which could cause leaks in other places if its pulled off.

Had the front grilles out and only found a very small amount of muck, water flow was same before and after.
