It's winter soon again. Getting ready to go skiing and the questions of roof rails, cross bars and sports/box pops up,again. This time though I also have a dog with us (4 people). Hence the luggage box is a must I'm afraid.

Land rover sells two different luggage cariers, sports box and luggage box. Luggage box's volume is 440l whereas sports box's 420. However, sports box is longer 2060cm vs 1750cm. I think I might be getting different skis next winter. The other set of skis might be longer is might not fit the luggage box. This means that the sports box is the option to go for. Also, sports box can be fitted on either side of the roof, and luggage box cannot.

On the other hand, I can get LR luggage box off eBay for £200 or so vs £450 something from LR. I'm not looking to get any other brand, like Thule because I want everything to look badass and have LR written all over it

Any advice on this will be very much appreciated. Vadim A.

Thule are the same as LR boxes

Buy Thule and buy a LR sticker no point in paying LR to re-brand

Is it possible to have a luggage box ans ski carrier both fixed on one roof? Vadim A.

I'm sure I have seen a pic on here of a RRS with two of the long thin roof boxes on

A mate of mine had his roof box colour coded to his Volvo, that's the way to go
