In my experience of run flats they provide a very firm/harsh ride due to the reinforced side walls.

I think run flat tyres can't be repaired if you get a puncture. Be worth checking before buying them. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Don't go down the run flat road had them on my X5 very very hard ride, one option that I'm considering is there are some good firms specializing in puncture safe a new kind of tyre weld that fills the hole in the tyre while on the move, don't confuse it with the cheap rubbish you can buy from you local DIY store and i doesnt damage your tyres like the early stuff. Do a search on google |

Having recently gone from Goodyear Excellence to Pirelli Scorpion, I would say Pirelli all the way, very, very good tyre |

I concur with all these comments - Ive had run flats on a BM and on a MINI. They ruin an acceptable ride in my view due to the sidewall construction and as others have said I don't think they can be repaired.
