Just caught up on all these posts. IMHO:

1. Java looks amazing - When clean!
2. Everytime we have cleaned our Java RRS since 1st March it has rained on the same day/next day and looks dirty again.
3. Java/Ebony looks great, if a little dark.
4. Rhodium is more in keeping with Sport name than wood
5. Alpaca looks lovely with dark colours but interior marks too easily
6. OE Steps look the best (Misery! Wink )
7. Privacy is a must for the look of the car
8. PTI is a definite worthwhile investment
9. Standard SatNav is brilliant
10. Opt for dynamic pack as retro-fitting 20" + will really firm up the ride
11. TDV6 is more refined than new 3.0 TD in Audi/VW's
12. Performance does pick up a bit with miles (6,300 now! Crying or Very sad )
13. Dark colours look even better when you add S/C grille and vents (But not badge!)

I take it you have driven a 3.0Tdi VW/AUDI? I test drove the A6 3.0tdi last year and found it very refined indeed - not sure if its that refined in the Touareg though.

PTI - Personal Telephone Integration - Blutooth + fiment for cradle under armrest. A must on a car this price!

We drove a Toaureg V6TDi and it's infinitely better than the 2.5 lump, but not as smooth or quiet as RRS TDV6. Toerag was quicker though. Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
