engine oil top up

Just dipped my engine oil and its in the middle of the plastic thingy majig.
How many ml to take it to full?

Probably about a litre; but put half a litre in first let it settle for a few minutes then dip it again. It's a big old sump - takes nearly 10 litres to fill it up from empty.
If you last checked it ages ago then fine (but shame on you) Laughing . If it is losing oil have it checked out. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Exactly why i'm asking pal.
Not had to top up yet,only had it 4 months so not sure on measures yet.
My last car needed 250ml from halfway to full.
Thought the wealth of knowledge on here would stretch to a top up 60 odd views no answer lol

Charming. Give someone the advice they are asking for and they say they'll call Duckworths. We could have just told you to RTFM. In case you don't have one - It says add half a litre if the level is higher than midway between the marks and a litre if it is less than that and then re-check after a few minutes. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
