Hi all, thinking of changing my tdv8 hse in for a brand new 3.0v6 hse . Not driven a v6 yet , would love to hear your thoughts on this none

Whilst I have a great deal of sympathy with your situation ....it would be nice to be able to read a thread without you linking it to your 11 page thread.

There are other topics and perspectives I would like to read about.....once in a while

Sarah, i can vouch for the 12 plate model, much improved over the 59-11 plate So if you are seriously thinking of going for the 3.0 litre then go for the SDV6.

I have a new SDV6 since March this year. Now 5000 km on the clock. No problems and I like the car.

Yup, definitely a great car, I've got a little over 6k on mine now and it's been brilliant.
I didn't have a previous incarnation of the RRS, but as others have said, the MY12 and later made some great advances.

Havent bought one (yet) but have had one on a couple of occassions when mine has been in for repairs and have been hugely impressed with the SDV6. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

To me i'd consider the SDV6 a better buy than the TDV8 from my own problems with a short term rental munching its guts, trim falling apart and generally being the worst pile of LR badged poo i've come across

Or spend the extra beans and get a slightly older FFRR TDV8 with more toys and comfort  FFRR Owner, SSRR engine destroyer!(*2) & Creator of SSRR
