Swimming in driver's footwell | |
Has anyone else got wet feet while driving their RRS yet?
Noticed that the carpet and mat under the pedals is absolutely soaked.. not had chance to call dealer yet and get it looked at, but has anyone else had a similar problem? it's dripping from under the dash somewhere but I can't think where it's coming from - the car hasn't been sat out in the rain for ages...
I did notice that 2 days after delivery (4 weeks ago), I got back to the car after work to find all interior windows & sunroof literally dripping wet with condensation - thought it was strange at the time but it hasn't done it since.. I reckon the two problems are linked.
To have to wipe your feet on the way out of the car is not good on something costing the best part of £50k. I know I live near Lincolnshire but I don't have webbed feet so would appreciate a dry driving environment..
Advice please?

YOU BEEEAUTY!!!! Adam I owe you a beer.
If anyone else finds thet they leave wet footprints on the driveway after getting out their car, this is it. There's a panel in the left wall of the well (ha! it IS a well at the moment!), behind it is the aircon drainage pipe which wasn't connected to anything.. source of the water found!
now I just need to make sure the standing water is drained and dried thoroughly before it rots the carpets - it's found its way under the driver seat and into the rear door sills now.. now, where's the wife's hairdryer...
Thanks again - this really shows the value of a super-friendly forum!
