2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 S Java Black

How do you remove D Pillar trim

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and hope someone can help me, the drivers side D pillar needs to be removed to allow paint to be repaired, it appears pillar has rubbed paint where it meets the quarter panel to a point where paint is broken and showing signs of rust
Also does anyone know good chip repair company in Northern Ireland

D Pillar

Hi Thanks for the information howver maybe i was not sccurate with my description, i am looking to remove exterior Dpillar plastic trim

2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Chawton White

I did some slight damage to those D pillar cladding parts, and had to remove them to repair them. My first thought was to strip, repair and repaint them with trim black, but I went another direction:

When I had them off, I too noticed that they were factory installed when the body paint was very new, and very soft: they had 'cut' into the paint both at the bottom (in the two corners), and at the top (rear). I carefully cleaned up those edges and touched them up - and then reinstalled the D pillars with the carbon fiber fabric applied.

I like it!

Carbon fibre looks great, I have seen after market covers that fid over D pillars, did you say you covered them yourself, if yuo did what did you use
