1. Just tease the red cover plate out, mine was in fairly tight first of all, a good yank (maybe with some long nose pliers) should sort that.

Also, they can be a bit of a swine to get fitted properly the first few times.

Mine was a swine to fit the first time too. Ended up spending a few minutes fitting and removing it before it slotted nicely each time.
