Battery warning light on any ideas.

My battery warning light flickered on this aft but went off, then went out tonight & it is now on permenant what could this be.

Either, alternator goosed especially if you have a TDV8, Alternator belt loose or snapped, battery goosed or loose battery terminal.

Mine came on this morning after 3 miles (started fine and keeps starting fine)

I'm assuming goosed Alternator too? RRS gone

My alternator (TDV8) lasted about 50 miles after the light come on permanently. Get it booked in now... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I've rang to see if my local dealer has one in stock and they can get one in for tomorrow...so will take the car over later today (for them to do their own diagnostics) and leave with them.

No loan car available Big Cry RRS gone

Fixing it now, 2 hour job RRS gone

Alternator not charging at correct voltage new one now fitted & all is fine.
