The best thing to do is call a automotive expert. Try to have it checked. See if you can drive it for long journeys.

If its a newer one then it is fitted with a particulate filter that needs to get really hot every now and again. THis is so it can complete a burn/clean cycle.

If you don't take if for a long run every now and again you will get error messages about the filter etc.

2009 S/C , yeah thats my plan, i live 5mins walk from town or 1min drive, needed to do the food shop and halfords to pick up some detailing clay, and a new wash mit...so i decided to go for a nice drive down the local-ish lanes before stopping by the shops  If it doesnt scare you it isnt heavy enough
