I want to get a tow bar and electrics fitted, any good suppliers? Does it have to be main dealer?

Is it just the swan neck bit I need and the rest is already there or is it a bigger unit?

On the electrics are they plug and play or another pro job?

You just need the swan neck piece. There is a standard-fit receiver on the RRS behind a removable panel in the rear valance.

Before you buy anything it would be worth checking what, if any, plugs there are behind the panel. Your RRS might have the electrics but not the tow bar. This was the case with mine as it appears the previous owner took the tow ball with him when he changed vehicles. Also check under the boot floor next to the jack storage tray to see if the towing electrics plug loom is fitted (this might be easier than getting the valance panel off if the securing clips are tight).

The electrics and the the swan neck can be obtained from either LR dealers or any number of third party suppliers.  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
