About to purchase an MY11 RRS AB with black leather /Ivory inserts. Heard the warnings about ivory but still like the look of it. Any recommends on what protection to apply to the leather to avoid dye transfers?

Also any feed back on "A-Glaze"?

Re: Ivory leather, I have it in mine and as long as you keep on top of it, you'll be fine. You'll never stop the dye transfer altogether, but attending to it every couple of weeks for 5 minutes will keep it looking nice.

There are a number of products to choose from out there, but some of my favourites are:

* The easiest and is more of a cure than prevention are Dr Leather - Leather wipes

* Next up is something from LTT or Furniture Clinic (leather care specialists) This kit from LTT is a good all rounder for cleaning and maintaining.

* Probably the most preventative method is something like L1 from Gtechniq. Once applied you should just need a quick wipedown with a damp microfibre

I have all tthe above and they all work really well. I had to choose one, I'd go with the LTT kit

Not heard of A-Glaze, so can't comment.

Honest opinion.....LR seat covers. I am very OCD about my car and keeping my Almond interior clean, even when it was only me in it most of the time was a real challenge. Light seats are very easily marked by dye.

Guarantee that interior will put a smile on your face every time you open the door and even more so when others get in and admire it

Having taken a quick look at the 'A-Glaze' website, I would say that it is more akin to something like Superguard and more than likely 'dealer' supplied.
Probably a good product, but only as good as the person applying it and if through a dealer, probably at expensive rates.

As I said, any of the above products wiill serve you well. They are reasonably priced an backed up by good companies with a thorough understanding of leather, especially LTT, Furniture Clinic and Dr Leather.  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Buy some leather cleaner or give it to a detailer once a month, Seat covers are for mechanics and farmers

I had them because I would get salty and grubby after a day on the boat and swimming etc. salt is a quick way to ruin ivory seat covers, other than that, I agree, they are not nice. I have never found a leather cleaner which gets rid of jeans stains completely. I will never buy another car with light coloured upholstery if I can avoid it.
