Hi guys,
I have had help before on the site and i am very great full for that!

I have installed a new radiator and having massive problem bleeding it, I seemed to have done everything right but unfortunately i get the same results every time, Ticking over the car warms up nicely and the heaters become hot!!!

Feeling the hoses they are under pressure and HOT but.............. the very TOP HOSE and BIG HOSE which links onto the thermostat both on the passenger side remain REALLY COLD.

As soon as the car gets hotter ie driving or revving... the temperature builds up and the water level rises in the expansion tank and leaks past the overflow!

I would much appreciate any advice as to what this could be and i would be more than happy to donate money to the site!!!

The car is a 4.2 Supercharged model!!!

Did you bleed the system accordingly as per your other post? Malaysia Boleh!

Sorry, I PMd you instead :s... Yes i bled the system accordingly and everything seemed fine with the heaters getting to temperature etc..... Do you think that there may be a problem with the thermostat that's not letting the water through when its hot??? Would this build up pressure on the filler tank and make it overflow tho?

Can i take the thermostat out and try it then??

Yes, the thermostat could give you this problem.
The viscous fan not operating properly could also be the culprit.

A Cooling System Pressure Test will be useful. Malaysia Boleh!

It has had a brand new Viscous Fan.... Works perfectly as its been tested by it overheating so bloody much!!!!

The thermostat seal is damaged and does not cover 5 of the holes so i have ordered a new one to see if that does anything if not then it will get pressure tested. I did put in 2 rad seal in because i bought a 2nd hand radiator that had a leak which has since been removed as the leak was so bad but i am wondering wither this may have blocked anything up in the water pump for example.........

Pressure tested and it is head gasket, what is the best way forward from here???
