RRS SC is the 4.2 Petrol engine top of the line.
HSE was top of the line for the diesel specs.
SE was medium range..

How did you not find any info on this anywhere on the net?

Kept coming up with articles about the police and other agencies that use certain variants, must have been looking in the wrong places. 2005 Rang Rover Supercharged

Dont you actually have:
Autobiography
HSE Luxury
HSE
SE

The supercharged was the 4.2 but now 5l and at one point there was a HST

Each market has their own variations and each option has its own additions that could be added Mike

Just the 4.2 supercharged sport, fully loaded with logic7 and rear entertainment screens. Really pleased with it and will probably move onto a 2010 s/c in a year or so. Just watched a YouTube clip on the 2010 sc and it looks amazing 2005 Rang Rover Supercharged

The TDV8 was the highest standard diesel spec - although badged as an HSE it had more standard kit (in the UK at least) than the TDV6 HSE. And then they did an HST TDV8 too, I think, which had other bits again. All very confusing. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi Bobby,
Wiil-Wonka suggested i give you a nudge regarding a problem im having with my 6cd head unit, i posted this on the forum, the initial text is as follows:

Hi All,

Ok so the head unit on the RRS failed, all the buttons had popped their connections rendering them useless. So i go and purchase another unit which has a slightly different part number, but is exactly the same unit otherwise.

Tried to install with no joy at all, no sound from new unit and no light from the display, so decided best action was to try and basterdise the two, taking the front fascia plate from the good unit and transplanting to the old unit....should work right ?????

On re installing there was nothing again, just interference like there was no stations selected, would not select between cd/aux/fm and the volume button had stopped working !!!

So stripped out again and reverted to putting the original old unit back in the car..... now this wont work either ! same as above with nothing working just the continuous noise of interference.

On researching the net i have found a few sites that have stated that these units are interchangeable, ie the 2005 head unit can be replaced by a 2006 unit or even 2007 the only difference being the part numbers.

Can anyone advise on this further.... just cannot understand why the original unit will now not work, dont want to go and splash another £400 for another head unit that potentially will not work....

Are you able to shed any light on this or suggest anything to look for ???

My search led me to this thread but still havent found the exact answer I am looking for.

I was wondering if anyone could tell us exactly what extra kit the HSE has over the SE? (2010 model)

Cheers
Jkay
