England 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zambezi Silver

Very good idea. At last something to protect the spare. I always thought looking at the rear that something was missing. I had a soft cover tailored made to cover mine. Good job Thumbs Up

Spare wheel protector

Sorry for sounding thick but how do they remove the spare wheel while its bolted on under your car?

Cheers

Cut the cable I expect, the wheel isn't bolted on. Ex-G4 Challenge RRS HSE, BV55 YZE. Subtle shade of orange ! Now registered YZE481 G4RRS in Melbourne.

I've got one on my D3, They stop thieveing toe-rags getting to the cable.
If they got Rays protector off, they'd have done some damage to everything aroiund it (including the wheel!) and would have spent a long time doing so!.
In reality, thieves don't like hard work, so for £65 or whatever they are now, you save yourself from an £800 bill (Wheel + wheel winch + fitting) well worth it IMHO. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

So how do these work ?
Does anyone have any pictures of one fitted/being fitted ?

I was thinking of getting some sort of cover (maily to keep the grime out), but this presumably does the job and will also stop some thieving scrote helping themselves. Evil or Very Mad ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

It's the same as when you fit a spare wheel, only instead of the end of the cable only going through the wheel, it also goes through the raised part of the protector, whic then gets winched up inside the wheel and stops anyone getting to the cable at all. Very simple to fit. Bodsys Brake Bible
