Parking sensor issue

Hi all,

I am getting a 'front parking sensor error' at random times on the dash and then it switches off the front sensors.

I am assuming one of the sensors is faulty, a local RRS indy has suggested that they replace all 4 sensors.

Anyone have a similar issue..? How much and how was your issue fixed Question

Cheers Wink

sensors are around 30 each (trade price)

if you stick the car into drive and get someone to put an each to each sensor you will eventually hear a click form the one which is faulty, takes a while and you look like a muppet but it works. Simply a case of replacing the fault one.

LR should be able to plug the car in and tell you which on is faulty, rather than replacing all 4.

I have been quoted £35.72 per sensor, from 2 separate Indy's.

Please can you advise on what I need to put to each sensor to test (typo above)..

I also think it is rather silly to replace all 4, but this is what the Indy said

"We suggest that all 4 sensors are replaced because to change sensors the front bumper has to be removed and the labour charge to change all or one will be the same."

Laughing Laughing get someone to put and EAR to each sensor

Bodyshop i use can get certain ones without removing the bumper, but for the cost of a dealer taking the bumper off they are prob right that for an extra 100 quid its worth doing, as its annoying as hell when they don't work

Cheers Wink
