iPod / iPhone - to charge or not to charge!

Probably one for Bobby.........but if anyone else knows, much appreciated.

I have the iPod / iPhone lead in the cubby box on the L322 (I know, wrong forum etc Rolling Eyes ), it makes the funny "charging" sound on both the iPod and iPhone 4S but doesn't charge. All works etc but no charge.

Is this normal or is yet another omission on LR's part for basic functionality Question If it is, how B Censored y stupid......a basic principle of having integrated kit, forgotten Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Ww - I have a 3rd gen iPod and it charges just fine in mine, plug the iPad in though and It don't charge, I think it doesn't put out enough power. Not tried iPhone, I will try my sons in the morning. Thumbs Up MY10 3.0 HSE Santorini Black, Ivory Premium & extended leather, privacy, paddles, diamond turned alloys, Ipod lead that charges, tasmods, rrsport.co.uk stickers

Jeep 4.0 High Output XJ 94 6" teraflex lift, c/w rear coils, 9500lb winch, 35" TSL super swamper boggers, safari snorkel, custom made bumpers, tom woods custom double cardon driveshaft, twin electric fans. Don't follow it..............you wont make it. The first 4 x 4 by far.

All good on mine for charging but mine is MY11 been told by dealer that all MY12 are set up for the Nokia system. Maybe bobby can shed some light on that. Thumbs Up

Whilst the Ipad does need more amps (istr its 2amps) it will charge on the 1amp supply from anything - just takes a long time. Mike
