Sorry to hijack the thread, but has anyone got experience of the Superchips Bluefin system, specifically with the TDV8? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Not personally no, but the problem with the superchips plug in and go map is that its one map fits all which is not ideal, as we all know, there isn't two engines alike, so to get the best out of your engine, you really need to have a propper remap thats suited to your engine and not joe bloggs down the road.Have you ever seen the F1 guys with a superchips device Question Maybe in Eddie jordans day Laughing

Ah, ok. Had a read through the BAS stuff now and see that one sends him the original map which he then adjusts accordingly. The revised map is then put on to the ecu. So it's a bespoke map. Although I wonder how bespoke it really is. Perhaps an email to BAS might help...

I can see why there's a price difference now though between the potentially bespoke (BAS) and the generic (Bluefin). 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Had a Superchip remap done on my 2.7HSE,the reason l used them was that they
offer a 7day money back gaurantee and as i had already spent £300 on a sh.t remap
l thought l had nothing to lose.Anyway it cost £425 and l am well chuffed it has good
midrange pulling power my mpg has went from 22 to 28/30 with no smoke issues.l must
admit if l stayed closer a BAS visit would have been on the cards but after 3month l am
still happy with the Superchip
Cheers Tommy

With the BAS map I do not understand why you need all the programming hardware that makes up most of the cost - the map itself is only 150pounds and the rest is hardware. Why not a computer program to be loaded on a laptop (or Ipad) with the appropriate cable to do the unloading/loading.

Can someone please enlighten me?

Thanks

As I understand it BAS (pete) is looking into a new system that is based on the Faultmate hardware, however, what we really need is a remap that shuts the EGR valves. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.
