Service Intervals

Is it normal that the car "asks" for a service every 14-16.000 km?
For those, who dodn't know km it is 8.700-9.9000 Miles Wink

Its usually 12 months or 16000 miles, whichever comes first

I was told by dealer that the service intervals are annually or every 15000 miles whatever comes first.

When was it serviced before that, i get the feeling that someone hasn't reset the service indicator at the last service, same thing happened to mine.
