as MD of the company, you'll get the points if you can't prove who was driving.

should get away with just 6 points roughly around £250-300 fine depending on your income.

also seek some legal advice, its usually free if just asking the question.

Don't think the MD is in the frame it's the Company Secretary and no points just a much bigger fine on the company???
They may go after a Director for the points but apparently its unlikely.

NIP was addressed to Company Sec Chris so you are right, my sister is company sec, lives in London and does not drive.

However she has a license and would not be best pleased getting points when she wasn't in the car.......

As I see it I genuinely can't remember who was driving so that's the end of it.

If they give points to the company sec (who was definitely not driving) that is ridiculous.

She wouldn't get the points,the company would just pay the fine.

If money is no option then simply take the fine for the offence of 'registered keeper failing to inform the driver at the time of an offence'
Don't quote me on this but I think it's about £1000 fine and no points.....similar to what Sir Alex Ferguson did years ago.

£1000 is a little harsh but not if you don't need the points and it's not being dishonest so you don't risk serious offences like pervert the course of justice or police obstruction.

But also just make sure grandad is insured to drive ones vehicle just incase they start asking awkward questions.
