2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Orkney Grey

Rear Seat Rip Off by LR!!!!!!!!!

Used the RRS to do an IKEA run and a couple of the buffer plugs (sorry dont know tech term) sheared off.

They are used to stop the seat going metal on metal.

Not a problem to replace? Think again!!

Plugs are not available and LR Customer Service confirmed that to replace the plugs you have to buy the lower seat assemblies.

60/40 split comes in at £323.04 and £289.85 >>>> £612.89 !!!!!!Anyone have contact details for a big wig at LR as the staff on Customer Service have been fair and asked at production level but this needs a management decision?

I thought of a breakers yard but to be blunt, why? Owning a luxury car to go around yards for penny items is just crap - Id rather trade it in!!!

Is it similar to THIS? Looks like the ones for the doors are about a quid. Albeit it your pic has a longer nose.

Do you have a picture of where the bit came from? You may be able to find the part number from the Microcat site HERE and then Google it for a local supplier.

Went to the link and the rubber bits are not shown at all. They come from the rear seat base/frame area.

The dealers parts department sat with me before and these plugs are not on the drawings.

you can get self adhesive rubber feet for computers - they may be about the same thickness without the tall knobby bit !
