United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Fuji White

My time in the XF wasnt all bad - just not the right car for us. its a 59 plate with the same 3l Diesel V6. I didnt get the sports seats (and the standard ones offer naff all side support).

The fact the supplying delership was a pile of carp didn't help (the short version is it ended up with solicitors letters and three repairs to get a car painted half decent), my brothers was on an AA truck within 24 hours of owning it (we bought identical cars) didnt set us off to a good start.

My view on the XF is that its a good car waiting to get out from underneath a blanket of small issues that spoil the whole thing. Plus, Ive decided Im not ready for the pipe and slippers at 33, so the "Jag" is going on the back burner for a few more years yet.

Hopefully I wont get a friday afternoon special from JLR this time. Im already much more impressed with the supplying dealership for the RRS than I was with the Jag.

In all seriousness my XF was a Friday afternoon special - I went to see it being built on a Thursday afternoon when they were on a 4 day week, so technically it is a Friday afternoon special. Laughing

A small part of me will missit when its gone, but I can always get another some years from now - been there done that, etc etc. RRS 3.0D HSE 11MY - Fuji White, a few extras.

That's funny, cause when I placed my order for a new FF recently (being only 31 now) there was a guy in his 60's ordering a sport ! Rolling with laughter

I don't think there's really any point in comparing the 2 anyway. They are different vehicles - now that the Evoque is coming with the "Range Rover" branding, does that mean everyone will compare all 3 and moan when one isn't up to the luxury / task of one of the other 2 ? - I doubt it.

So why is there always this battle between which one's best ? Is it just the money because new for new is a big difference ?
Will this pecking order continue into the Freelander / Evoque owners ? Yawn

Welcome home my gorgeous rrs ....minus dents and stone chip too !!!! Very Happy Smile

Joe Public seem to think that that is the case............. in reality there is a cost overlap, I could have got a brand new FFRR for the cost of mine............but I don't want one!

Absolutely - it's opinion & choice. For me, I drove both, but liked the FF so went for that. I still like the sport.

It's just your posts seem to be a little on the "I hate FFRR's & their drivers" side and that seems a bit harsh.
I doubt a RRS is any more reliable than a FFRR and I'm sure there are as many obnoxious sport drivers as there are FF drivers. Sorry to say I've witnessed that on both sides.
Sadly, just because people drive nice cars, doesn't necessarily mean they are nice people.

As the saying doesn't go, better to use 2 brushes for your tar Laughing

Webb, this is the first RRS I have owned. I have always had the FFRR. So I am a convert. Its just my observation on FFRR drivers that are about. Yes for sure not every FFRR drivers are as described and the comments are definitley toungue in cheek !
So Dont be offended! I was a really kind and courteous driver in my FFRR just a shame that you remember the bad attitude ffrr drivers over the nice ones.

Oh well..... Can of worms put to bed me thinks....

By the way the bloody sticker took ages to get off this morning and i broke my nail !!! Big Cry Smile
