Try swapping your wheel round with the back one, or check the inside of your front tyre |

had the same problem with my dad's landcruiser last week....worn brake pads caused it.....but again....it could be a number of things, except the bearing....because then you would hear a continuous rubbing-like noise |

Doesn't sound like a ball joint to me,as others have said stone or nail,also check your disc /pads for a stone my brother had this on his TT the other week,If you do go the ball joint route I have a spare front lower here.I ended up buying 3(don't ask) |
