I had exactly the same experience with SWMBO,we went down to the square on arrival late at night,I was petrified and the same the next day,once I realised it was absolutely safe I chilled out and loved it.
Didn't get pestered much but just replied with a firm but polite NOOOOOOOOOO !
Did you buy anything?

Probably just as much risk of a bomb and mugging in Manchester,we went there just after the last big bomb and I felt really threatened.
Think I'll just stay at home for the next 6 months,can't see anyone bombing Bakewell Thumbs Up MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

You'd hope so!

They just called to say it will now be thursday! I said it's not good enough.....they're taking the p*ss now.....

it has arrived this morning but with my extras (wheel swap, brake callipers red, colour coded door handles etc) collection will be 9am thurs.....

I said i'll pick it up 5pm Wednesday instead as there not going to do anything with it overnight!

I would recommend picking it up at midday in the height of the sun to check the paintwork,harder to see early morning late afternoon if there are any scratches Thumbs Up MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Jonny - I dont get why should it have to go in for a detail, it is straight out of the box and should be the same standard as you get from a detailer, if not tell them to sort it, bit like buying a new diamond ring for the missus and then having to take it to another jewllers for a polish, just not acceptable.

JF i would also be asking why such a long delay in delivery, i don't want to ruffle your feathers with suspicion, but i know of a customer of mine kept getting fobbed off with delivery times of his new beamer only to find out it had been damaged in transit and it was sent to a bodyshop for repair before delivery, Mr. Green but i'm sure your detailer will pick up on it. Your detailer paint thickness gauge will tell you if resprayed, make sure you get a thickness report of them Thumbs Up

The detail is a "new car detail" which makes it stay cleaner longer and more resistant to light scratches.......

Photos will be up in the morning as I am collecting at 5pm Mr. Green
