I've just discovered my mini 2 tonne trolley jack doesn't have the reach required to lift the Sport.

I was just about to purchase this

Anyone have a recommendations? RRS gone

Neither will do. You need a min 3 tonne jack and that air jack has been tried and tested and it doesn't work. There are other airjacks that do but are expensive. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Can I give one bit of advise - when lifting always put your spare/removed wheel under the RRS, next to jack just in case the jack gives way. Not only will this protect your car it might protect you. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

6 tonne bottle jack usually works fine, compact and fairly cheap

Get yourself one of these bad boys, lift capacity and reach enough. I use it to lift the D3 for wheel changing regularly and it is excellent. I lift on the chassis then drop onto an 3t axle stand for changing.

They were available from Costco but don't know if that is still the case.

Best to Jack off the axle as said above. Much less height required from the jack that way. Getting one with a higher lift to jack on the landrover jack points bringings its own problems with stability.

I use a 2 tonne lift with no problems and then axle stands. Some like to be extra safe and will shudder at that but the whole car weighs less than 3 tonne and your not jacking the whole car at any time.
