Hi

I have a mechanical knocking coming from the rear i think..... the only moving bits underneath are these 2 heavy rotating clumps of metal! see pick for where i THINK its knocking.

has anyone got any idea what they are ? (both situated next to both exhaust pipes).

These are the 'Harmonic Mass Dampers'

There there to reduce vibrations through the car i believe... looks like ones come loose  2006 RRS Supercharged
Hawke Saker 22" rims Nitto Tires
Larini exhaust System
ECU remap
Modified and ported supercharger with 3lb pulley

both of them pivot and swing like elvis!

are they supposed to swing ?! LEESY

HI MINE IS FITTED WITH THE SAME DAMPENNERS AND I HAD A KNOCKING NOISE FROM THE BACK SAME AS YOU AND TO BE HONEST I THOUGHT IT WAS COMING FROM THESE, BUT AFTER TAKING TO A MATE WHO IS A TOP MECHANIC, ONE LOOK AND TOLD ME IT WAS REAR ANTI ROLL BAR BUSHES.TOOK TO MAIN DEALERS HAD CHANGED PROBLEM SOLVED. I THINK IT COST ABOUT £109 SO NOT THAT BAD. HOPE IT HELPS REGARDS TD6  2005 HSE 2.7 RRSport loaded with 2010 goodies

Just to confirm that these do pivot & that is normal - as they are designed to do.
