England 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zambezi Silver
Spark plug and oil change. 4.2 sc.

People, I'm changing my oil and spark plugs on my 4.2 sc is there anything i need to consider before i start this job? eg. on my p38 4.6 i had to remove the airflow system. Many thanks.

Not much, is an easy job. The stock iridium sparkplugs should last about 100Kmiles.
Can highly advise M1 0w40, very good oil, just as the stock ngk iridiums. RRS SDV6 HEV Dynamic

belive it or not oil change on rr at kwick fit £ 49.99 all in . they ordered in the special oil and all Thumbs Up

aint worth getting hands dirty

if you ask them they will do plugs as well

kwick fit are expanding what they do

spose they have to keep up with the current demand Thumbs Up

Personally i wouldn't let Kwik Fit near any car i own no matter what it was for or how cheap the price.

Well to be fair on my local branch ,it's clean the guys are pleasant , I saw it done with my own eyes , depends also on
How they are trained .They done a superb job topped up all fluids swell free of charge !
They do my vans also . Better than main dealer u would only get a spotty trainee doing it at the dealer anyway !
So sometimes it's done worse at dealer plus kwick fit guarantee all there work for a year
I never found them a problem , and I'm very choosy who work on it just like most others on here .
But we are all different

That's good to hear. I went there some years ago and wasn't that impressed with the level of skill. I guess your right, each branch will be different.

I will give them more thought when my S/C is due, thanks for the info.
