I've just bought them in the carbon fibre finish for my new plates and was assured that they were UK road legal,it is in fact now an offence to produce anything that isn't so I hope they are !!!

It would seem as long as the font and size is in with the uk legal standard then all is well.

I was told by a copper that my plates on my BMW must have the BS standard number on them. But could find anything on this on the dvla website....

I logged onto Demon and had a look at these i was shocked at the £53 price tag for them!!

they are known as pressed plates, ive been running them on my show cars for years, perfectly leagal if done right. |

azizbbu,look on the vosa web site,i purchased some plates just like chrisp's for the wifes car.people told me they were illegal but vosa has updated the mot sheets june 2010 and pass the plates so long as they can be read from so many metres.
