Insurance - somebody PLEASE help!!!

Good news I just bought my 1st RR's 4.2 I went for the S/C picking her up Saturday!!!

So on the down side £835 o insure her?? My XKR I only pay £400 can anybody tell me where I can get a sensible insurance quote PLEASE!! I tried LRI insurance, they wanted over £900 are these things just very expencive to insure? I'm 42 no points drive it less than 5k per year whats going on????

I was hit by another car just the other day I was stationary at the time but it would seem this is going against me! I also have another car so have NO N/C/B to use as I'm using that on my other car! However I have now got it down to just over £700 from Admiral - seems to be the cheapest so far! Please keep the replys coming! Cheers Laurence.

Similar circumstances except i am younger than 42 and i was quoted £485 by Esure, Admiral insurance then beat that by £15 when i spoke to them

£470 inc legal expenses, protected no claims and free hire car.

Keep looking.

Buster007, I paid about £1,200 per annum on my XKR Shocked and now pay about £850 per annum on my TDV6. Full no claims, 40 years old and 3 points for an SP30. My premiums are costly due to using Direct Line (with some extras you never need) and a London E3 postcode. When I moved from Kent to E3 my car insurance doubled, I was not happy, but what can you do?

Admiral are cheap as chips, for first year at least - but I am not sure how good their claims process is... Rolling Eyes But 'best cover' apparently is by the National Farmers Union Insurance, but you cannot get a quite online you have pick up the phone. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

I am 31, three points and 2.7TDV6. I pay £480 a year, including unlimited mileage and protected no claims and no premium increase for three years subject to no more than three points and 2 crashes.

I use a broker call Lloyd Latchford. Google them and give them a call

Works for me as i do about 30k miles a year, of which are 20k are business

As a young driver Admiral worked out cheap for me. £740.00 inc business use, cheaper than anywhere else.

Adrian Flux does seem to, well, specialise in everything. It seems. Do deliver good premiums? Maybe I should try them on renewal and migrate away from Direct Line.

Has anyone bought GAP insurance? I figured there's no point in the first year of ownership from new, but thereafter is it a wise purchase do you think? L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
