Suspension Compressor Replaced - software update required?

Hi all,

i have a 56 plate 2.7 HSE that needs a new compressor and I have managed to locate one through a breaker - part number RQG500150. Will I need to update the software?

I know I would have needed a software update if I replaced with RQG500090 but how about the one above?

If I do need a software update any idea how much?

Any help really appreciated Sad Best Wishes

Gary

Hi Gary its very hard to determine the cost of a software update as the updates can take any where from 1 to 24hrs your best bet it to call your local main dealer and ask for a fixed price!

I'm not sure if you would need a software update but if you are changing the compressor because of a suspension failure, you need to to reset the parameters on the air sus system. This can only be done via the diagnostics system. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Malaysia 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Chawton White

LR issued TSB No.LTB00270 concerning this issue.

Affected RRS are VIN- Range : 900302-229700.

The reason to update the software, I believe, is to stabilise the compressor gallery pressure.

The bulletin says the replacement part number of the air compressor for the RRS/Discovery is LRO 15303.

Please check if the above is related to you. Malaysia Boleh!

Thanks guys for the advice/info!

TB, my garage has full access to the diagnostics - do you know if it is a straight forward reset of the parameters - a simple button press - or is it more involved requiring calibration on the vehicle? Best Wishes

Gary
