Cons are that they can be disabled / jammed by a product that is readily available on the internet, just google it and see what comes up. example http://www.logictoyz.com/security-/signals-jammer-blocker/ As you say it is only good if it recovers your car but there are a large number of cars fitted with tracking devices that never get recovered, either unit ripped out or disabled by jamming so work it out ![]() |

Yeah, Same as anything really if they want it bad enough, they'll have it - one way or another!

Don't the Jammers only work for gps or gsm trackers? If it's a VHF tracker it can't be jammed can it? I may be wrong tho!!! |

By far the best as in experience, and the fact that it is operated by all police forces in uk. They have been around the longest and are the most respected. True what others say though if someone wants it bad enough they will have it. I have always been of the view that if a vehicle of mine was nicked i would rather it was never recovered and instead written off. |

I am considering the new Tracker Locate device. Looks like I can get it fitted for £450, plus usual subscription. it's a bit more expensive but I like the GPS tracking feature - you can view your journeys mapped out in a web browser. Interesting to see what happens to the vehicle if left with a dealer... there was some Audi RS6 owner who identified a dealer taking his car for joyrides when booked in for repairs, using this type of technology!
