looks like with the pasting the RRS got in the papers this week regarding reliability issues that the ad-men have been busy trying to do a bit of damage limitation by releasing the advert for the S/C on primetime slots!
anyway my question is this, the colour looks lovely in the add (i think it will just be clever filters!) but what colour do you think it really is, i would have one if it looked that shade in the flesh! is it bali or buckingham??

Hi Dave...My guess would be a "toned down" Bali...but then again it could be as you say cleverly filtered. I have a Buck blue and it doesn't look anything like that!!!

probably bali as you say, i liked buck in the last of the series 2 discos, but the rrs is quite a bit darker, not as pearlecent! but the tv shade is smart, shame they tease us with a colour like that then give us purple........better get my hard had before PPE comes along!

It's fair to say that we've had a few blue's in our time!!

Last of the D2 was Oxford Blue which then went to Adriatic Blue and the lighter Monte Carlo Blue
Then D3 came out in Cairns Blue and Adriatic Blue which changed to Buckingham Blue
D4 continues with Buckingham Blue but add's Bali Blue

BTW the RRS in the advert is Bali Blue.

thats it settled then, an ad director with the sense to tone the bali down a bit , maybe james could put a word in to land rover to add a blue between buckingham and bali, so as not to upset the good followers of this forum!! i would buy one, as i do like blue cars, but the buck is too dark and the bali too adventurous!!

Buckingham blue has now been replaced by Baltic Blue - not seen the new colour yet though
