Chip Express

Fitted a Chip Express module to my TDV8 last week...WOW!! Twisted Evil what a difference...the lift from standstill is fantastic almost makes me forget how good the Audi S8 was. The chip cost £395 and was a cinch to fit, even I managed to plug it in which is amazing considering how useless I am mechanically Laughing I have never been very sure about these after market devices that promise amazing results but have to say that so far I'm impressed...My real time mpg was averaging 18.9 before and now that has risen to bang on 21 which admittedly is not a huge saving but to get even a small increase in mpg for such a large increase in performance has definitely made the initial outlay worthwhile and I suppose makes this one of my better decisions Very Happy

Tim...Not great I agree, must say I have always been disappointed at the fuel consumption and no I don't use command quite happy to leave it in D and let it work away.. that said I'm not a plod when driving and do like to keep on the move,if you know what I mean Smile . I always work on tank to tank fill ups and calculate mileage/fuel that way rather than the onboard computer. I would say my vehicle use would be a fairly typical mix of both city commute and motorway... I have read some of your posts on this topic and can honestly say that I have never got anywhere near the mpg figures that you and others on this forum get Sad maybe the car needs a couple more '000 miles to help the consumption??however I would have thought that with 5000 on the clock it would have been a bit better than it is???

ULTIMA... kept the module on default settings..317 bhp...Just in case it blows up!!! Rolling with laughter

My 09 hst took 6000 miles to start returning good fuel mileage anything up to 33 on motorway at 80 + with a DMS tune though.

MY10 now has 1800 miles so still to tight but is giving 23 round town.

I do not chug around by the way LOL 2014 5.0SC AB
