MMMMmmm! My dad's mate had a few of them, 3.8l straight six XK120 roadster with about 380bhp at the rear wheels coupled with a short ratio LSD rear axle giving a topspeed of 105mph. Jamie used it for hill climbs and was quite succesful with it. Another friend had a simillar racer and a couple in concourse condition, his wife had a MGA with a Rover 3.5 V8 as a race car but I never got a run in it. Nicest cars I have driven would be a Silver Ghost style Bently, whisper smooth and quite powerful as well. fastest car I have driven must be a March F1 car from the early 70s pity I never got to fire the engine up tho Clan Cameron |

Most fun I owned was my Mark II Escort 1600 crossflow full race engine. Piper cam, Group 1 head, Peco HDR exhaust, steel crank and pushrods, twin side draft Weber 40 carbs, converted 5 speed gearbox by a guy in London. Bilstein world cup suspension, and the old 4 spoke RS Alloys! 4.1 LSD in the back. It was putting out 168 bhp at the flyweel in 1988!!! |
