I would stay at 4 seasons but my mates wont stretch to it......

Ritz Carlton seems good value........£1030 per twin room per week.........i.e. £515 per person (excl flights)

4 seasons is almost double..........

Mate i did think about what i said after I wrote it and saw that you're going with your mates - if you was going with your wife then I would have changed to the Four Seasons. Ritz is perefectly fine - it's a little bit out towards te old town, but is a good hotel. It was means to be a Ramada Hotel but they pulled out and they sold it to Ritz. Couple of good Casinos in Sharm too! Lots of fae watches, bags etc...

In terms of getting sick - you will get a day of sickness wherever you go, even in the Four Seasons - nothing to do with water, food or anything, just airborne bacteria....

In terms of diving, head out towards the ship wreck NW off the Sharm coast.....great diving around there
