It takes a while to cool down mind. I keep water, coke and red bull in mine and they stay lovely and chilled. Will have to see how well it works on hot days, I'd imagine it will take a couple of hours before they are really chilled.

The lack of lid doesn't seem to effect the cooling ability. I find the cans on the bottom get ice cold and 'conduct' the cold upwards to the other cans. It's also very good for chocolate!

If he was buying from LR Nick he wouldn't be asking about extended warranties!
Interesting... I'll have to try that. I assumed the lid was essential for chilling the contents. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award 2010 TDV8 HSE Galway Green - Adaptive Cruise - Sunroof - Privacy Glass - 5 Spoke Alloys 2009 TDV6 3.0 HSE Buckingham Blue - GONE

My dealer now offers Overfinch in 20s and 22s
You can also turn the lid upside down for more room.

I tried this in the 09 HSE loaner I had and it held 500ml bottles perfectly. Cool I thought. I then tried it in my 2010 today and you can't do it any more. There is a big gap left when the lid is upside down and due to the ipod connector you can't close the armrest even without an ipod in the car.
