You don't need to "set" them, they just do it if the system is working OK!! You can download the owners manual for your model year in PDF format from the Land Rover UK website. Sounds like a trip to a dealer might be needed to trace the fault 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim, sorry to disagree, but there is a personal preference setting throught the 'i' button - with the ignition on, but engine off, press the end of the left had stalk to access tyhe 'i' settings - step through with the controls on the right hand side of the steering wheel. This gives you many options including reverse mirror dipping (which I have to say I turned off as I need to miss the gate posts when I reverse out of my garage!)

Also just remembered, if when you are in reverse and the mirror's have dipped, if you adjust them whilst still in reverse and set your drivers seat memory they will be remembered. Therefore, just adjust your drivers mirror to 'normal' when in reverse and you should fix your wish Tim |

The only way to remember the setting is to set them whilst the engine is OFF in position II. An then save memory position. The next time you select reverse when the vehicle is on, the mirrors will dip to the correct position.. Tim - you can use the same technique to NOT have the driver's mirror dip, as they can be set indepedantly.. 57 RRS | TDV8 HSE | Java Black | Black Interior | Side Steps | 20" Alloys Bought in Januray 2010. Just tried this myself as both mirrirs dipped when reversing - very off putting. I adjusted the drivers mirror back to its normal position while in reverse, selected memory one and its has stored the adjusted mirror position so when reversing, the drivers side mirror doesnt move but the nearside does, so I can see the kerb. |
