Now KIA are offering 7 year warranties on new vehicle will other manufacturers follow ?

One things for sure it wont be Volvo. The amount of warranty work that got done on my xc90 if they had a 7 year on it theyd be bankrupt on that one car!!! |

I think many manufacturers won't want to move away from 3 year warranties due to the amount of customers who like the peace of mind that the original manufacturer's warranty brings, and who currently change their vehicles every 3 years because that's when the warranty currently expires - those customers are probably going to hang on to their cars a few years longer if the warranty was to be extended, especially in the current financial climate.
