They travel in protected aircraft, then on the ground surrounded by Close Protection and Personal Protection staff and their given a medal for visiting the troops !

By all means visit the guys and girls but don't give them a medal for it...

As a veteran with 20 yrs service refused HRMs Jubilee medal after medical discharge as I was 1 month out because of the terminal date this is abhorant.

My campaign medals were based on 28 days service not a 28 hour fly-by visit. MPs are becoming a cancerous growth in our society!!!
