I was a late starter at learning to drive due to learning to drive something a little bigger. I was driving cars long before I went for lessons here in the UK as the shipping company wouldn't allow stevedores in the 3rd world ports drive such exotica as Datsuns and Ford Escorts that we carried as cargo. In 1979 I took my test and passed first time but had no car to drive
But then my mother decided she wanted a new car and bought herself a White Fiesta 1.3 Supersport with blue stripes down the sides which meant she needed a buyer for her cast-off Fiesta 1.1L in Signal Yellow with black and brown velour interior. Kept that car for 2 years before I was earning enough to part-ex it for another Fiesta 1.1L  2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care

The same as VA.........mine was a P reg, NNU111P Mini 1275 GT

I never finished spannering it.....it had no interior other than bucket seats bolted direct to the floor and a roll cage, it was like driving a go-cart and was far too powerful for a first car but I never crashed it so not all bad I guess!
