2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

All advice welcome as new to RRS

Hi all,

Took the plunge and traded in my Nissan 350Z for a 57plate RRS 3.6 TDV8 HSE. I pick it up at the end of the month and the only experience of any Land Rover models in the past was messing around on a mates farm in an old ruined Defender years ago.

Guessing 95% of my driving will be on the road (at the start at least) but looking for any and all advice/hints/tips on any/all subjects concerned with the RRS I'm buying.

Love the Forum, and loads of good advice all over it, but any wee snippets you may have for a first time Range Rover owner (except doing a bank job to run the thing) would be welcome. I am still reading my way through the forum getting good advise all over, just wondered if anyone fancied passing on their wisdom.

P.S. MODS if this is a useless post please just rip it down, just started dipping my toes in the world of forums.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Save up your spare cash and take yourself up to the Land Rover Experience at Dunkeld for a FULL day course, don't bother with the half day. They aren't cheap but probably the best way to learn exactly what your RRS is capable of and how to get the best out of it. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

XK = SWMBO's car

btw i try to swap the DBS for FFRR - still depends if i don't loose to much cash on it

i know - there are some brand new MY 2009 4.4 L V8s for 50 k Euros 19%VAT included around here in the fatherland - that's like 5 times less than the DBS

Ahh, danke! Still think the the 5.0 S/C RRS would be a better transition from a DBS. Good luck with the part-ex
