hi mate The first hurdle is that the book wont allow for special or limited editions and i can only price it on a 2005 S/C RRS. I did look into a 1stED around 6 months ago and they werent fetching anymore than the later model, so i suppose it would be worth testing the market when your selling. The second hurdle is the colour, i looked for a Vesuvius before getting my S/C in black and couldnt find one I have a bit of experience with odd ball cars and there is always a buyer out there finding him is the difficulty bit, a trader would recognise that and id assume offer under the book value to allow for depreciation should the car take time to sell. Anyway prices of a std car below Retail - £26200 Trade - £23000 Car books at 51k miles this month so an adjustment to 30k would see £1100 a 20k miles adjustment would see £1800 assuming the middle ground +£1450 would be the mileage adjustment. Whether you would get £24.5k in part ex would depends the the dealers view of your car, id reckon a dealer in the LR network would be your best bet as they can command a premium for a 1st ED, in Vesuvius with the low miles you have. Id be interested in what you get if you are in the market for moving it on , hope the above helps Last edited by x5pea on Mon Jan 04 2010 3:38pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Maybe - I thought it was JAVA black too, looks Java black.. You must be right. I just looked at the ad I bought it from and it said Santorini, but was just an independent car dealer.

Hi X5, just wondering if the glasses valuation for NasMans car above is correct as the value given for Tim's car back in december (page 2 of listing) seems significantly higher for a 57 Plate TDV8 with similar mileage (Retail - £36250 / Trade - £33050). Just curious as I also have a 57 Plate TDV8 with similar miles. Kind regards. 57 plate TDV8, Java Black, Factory Tints, Sidesteps, |
