Following on from Tims thread about his Dads driving.....

Today imy my Dad got a letter through from the DVLA inviting him to renew his licence since he's 70 on 26th March.

That's ok you might think. Apart from the fact he DIED THREE YEARS AGO THIS WEEK!!

They were written to at the same time as the car registration was changed to Mums name and his licence was surrendered!

Needless to say this letter has upset my Mother made even worse by the fact its almost the anniversary.

Have phoned them to tell them about it but seriously, how many times do you have to tell them somebody's died before the message sinks in??

Be interesting to see if there's another reminder comes through nearer his birthday!

Shameful! Being yet another incompetent government agency, in all seriousness we have come to expect this. Lest us not forget, only a few weeks ago, the one eyed freak aka the head-honcho of incompetence wrote to a dead soldiers widow with the wrong name. !
