2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Java Black

Vibration felt through steering and floor??

Have looked at other posts but cannot find the same fault. My 2005 Sport has a vibration (sometime severe) when going uphill. Happens between 1750 - 2300 rpm and seems like it mostly happens when auto is labouring and torque is high. When towing a load it will happen on almost flat road. My local dealer in GB cannot find it and want to charge £100 per hour to 'diagnose' Sadly it happens when away from home in more mountainous regions (Swiss Alps at mo!)

Have seen some mentions of front diff??? Can only think it is a front end fault as it is felt through the steering.

My tyres and wheels are brand new as just changed to see if that improved matters.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Sorry, never heard of that one. I would not feel it though due to the vibration of my stormers and the non-damped steering! RRS TDV6 HSE, 2006, bonatti grey, ebony interior, rear diff, s/c grille and vents, stormers, privacy, tasmods, iphone integration

sounds really stupid and maybe u have done already but i had a simialr issue with my X5 years ago turned out to be a few massive "EGGS" bulges on the inside wall of the tyres

Simon, I have exactly the same issue - and it seems to be getting worse...

Mine is an 06 RRS V6 HSE and though I queried this a number of times during warranty they had no fault found etc.. It appears to be getting worse. My main concern has always been the drive train shunt at low speeds when slowing down and then accelerating again.

Not really sure where to go with this as my local dealer is absolutely useless.

A well known problem that is fixed via software update... Search the forum for the threads..
